Troubleshooting ActiveX

Use the menu below to navigate through the Models section of the website:

Interactive Models Online

See exactly how large interactive 3D city models look and perform when viewed and navigated through over an internet connection.

To navigate through the models simply point the mouse in the direction you wish to travel and hold down the left button. The left button controls the movement - lift you finger and you will stop. You can alter the speed of movement and type of navigation using the tool bar. Take a little time to look at all the options.

Access to AMT3D Online models involves the use of new technology and as such your computer must be of an appropriate specification.

The Offline CD based interactive models are navigated by means of computer games technology, however these Online models are hosted remotely and streamed down to your browser, where they are then rendered using an ActiveX control. This means that your computer’s Internet settings must have ActiveX control enabled.

If you are attempting to stream the model from a computer sitting behind a corporate firewall you may be blocked. The solution is to ask your IT manager to adjust the firewall’s settings to allow an outgoing tcp connection on port 443 (secure http). In addition you can ask that the myVR streaming server be ‘white listed’ so that the only possible connection is to this one streaming server.
